Laurence Augoyard

Managing Director of Workshop Fashion Agency

After a financial career started in Paris with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Laurence moved to Hong Kong for 7 years where she became Hermès Regional Finance Director.

Back to Paris, Laurence was appointed General Manager of a private investment fund, with publishing, music and fashion as main sectors. She then specialized in international business development, brand building and consulting in Asia and the United States.

Now Managing Director of Workshop Fashion Agency, Laurence supervises a team of  product experts, designers and decorators from all over the world scouting talents, looking for the latest retail trends, organizing promotional and sales activities in Paris, New York, Tokyo, Milan, Shanghai and Beijing.

Interested in building a bridge between high street and the travel retail sector, she has given her contribution to the conception and organization of Design Studio in TFWA AP Exhibition.

 

Rajiv Bhatia

Regional Sales Director at Inver House Distillers

Rajiv Bhatia has held a position at Inver House Distillers since 1995.

As Regional Sales Director he is responsible for Africa, Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Taiwan, Malaysia & Hong Kong, and also Global development of Travel Retail & Duty Free markets.

Bhatia’s other professional achievements include:

Appointed to the Board of Scottish Enterprise Borders (SEB) in 2004; Joined the ranks of “Keeper of the Quaich” in 2003 for services to Scotch Whisky industry (only 1500 Keepers in 75 countries); Elected to the Management Committee of Tax Free World Association (TFWA) in Cannes in 2002; Member of Scotch Whisky Associations (SWA) – India Working

Group since 2000.

Rene Bos

Rene Bos is Executive Director of ACNielsen China.

Based in Beijing, Rene is responsible for driving ACNielsen’s Tourism, Travel and Leisure Research as well as its online research in the Greater China Region. Before joining ACNielsen in February of this year, Rene had several senior management roles in Dutch based NIPO, and its mother company TNS in London. In the late 1990’s he enjoyed a 2 year stint in Hong Kong and in China – where he met his Chinese wife. Rene started his career in marketing research in the late 1980’s and build up a reputation of one of the leading tourism and travel researchers in The Netherlands in the 90’s – researching the tourism and travel behavior of the Dutch and other European consumers. Now he is turning his attention to the research of the growing and dynamic Chinese tourism, leisure and business travel market. An avid traveler himself, Rene is 45 years old, a Dutch national, and married with two children.

Roosevelt D'souza

Roosevelt D’souza, joined ACNielsen Research Services Pvt. Ltd in 1995  (now known as ACNielsen ORG-MARG) in its quantitative research division. He has an extensive experience of 13+ years in consumer, B2B & Industrial Research. He looks after Multi-country Research (Out bound), In-bound  Research for International clients as well as Servicing Domestic clients. He currently handles a wide range of Quantitative studies e.g. U&A’s, product development, customer satisfaction measurement, brand tracking, Concept evaluations, Pricing, Segmentation studies, etc. across various verticals.

Andrew Ford

Andrew Ford has been the Chief Executive Officer of TFWA since 1999. 

This organisation’s main office and activity is based out of Paris and it organises duty free industry exhibitions in Cannes and Singapore, conferences in various locations around the world including Dubai, Singapore and Cannes, and membership services.  Being the world’s largest association of luxury brands and very global in nature, Andrew spends considerable time meeting with brands, duty free operators, airports and government officials to help develop the industry and the Association’s brand members.

Peter Harbison

Managing Director of the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, Peter Harbison is one of the region’s foremost aviation and tourism strategists and commentators. With his 30+ years experience in aviation, he regularly provides analyses on commercial industry matters, the inter-relationship between aviation and tourism, government policy development, bilateral structures and infrastructure requirements. Harbison previously worked with the Australian Department of Aviation, ICAO and IATA. As a consultant, he has worked with international aviation policy development, airport and airline privatisations, airline advisory and business planning and airport pricing strategies. He was until recently Chairman of IATA’s World Aviation Regulatory Monitor Group and is immediate past President of the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand. He is Managing Director of a tourism development company and sits on a number of industry committees providing advice on tourism and aviation policy.

Colin Hunter

As director of Hunter Roberts, Colin has significant experience in the field of organisation and business change consultancy.  Prior to forming Hunter Roberts he worked in continental Europe managing the international division of a leading training and consultancy organisation and within sales at Proctor and Gamble.

Colin specialises in organisational change across the Luxury market and has built successful, global relationships with a number of clients including Leading Hotels of the World, Deutsche Bank, Reed Exhibitions, Mothercare and Shell.

Chris Jaques

Chris Jaques is one of the leading figures in the Asian advertising industry, creating three of the most successful communications networks in the region.

As Chairman & CEO of Bates Asia he led the network to be Asia’s Agency of the Year on two occasions. As Chairman of BBDO Asia Pacific, he led the network to become the fastest growing and one of the most creatively-awarded communications companies in the region.

John Koldowski

Mr. John M. Koldowski, Director Strategic Intelligence Centre for the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), is responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of travel and tourism statistics for PATA, as well as the identification and monitoring of those factors which may affect travel to/from and within the PATA region.

Mr. Koldowski joined PATA in Singapore in May 1997, then moved to Bangkok when the Association relocated its Headquarters in September 1998. He brought with him years of experience that cover a wide variety of fields.

He began his career in sales and marketing for a large multinational pharmaceuticals company. His next step took him into the transport industry and from there into telecommunications as a market analyst and product manager. In 1988, Mr. Koldowski took on a five-year assignment with Tourism Tasmania, which followed with a job as Manager, Strategic Research with the Northern Territory Tourist Commission.

Mr. Koldowski is a graduate of the Flinders University of South Australia and the University of Central Queensland.

 

Erik Juul-Mortensen

Erik Juul-Mortensen is President, Maxxium Global Travel Retail.

He is also President of Tax Free World Association. Erik has served the industry with distinction since joining Danish Distillers in 1987 as Vice-President of the newly-established export and duty free division, later being promoted to Senior Vice-President and Export Director and in 1996 International Director.

Peter E. Mohn

Dr. Peter E. Mohn is Head of R&D and Business Development as well as member of the Board of P. Robert and Partners SA (PRP), an internationalMarketing Research and Consulting Company, based in Switzerland. Before Dr. Mohn joined PRP, he has followed a distinguished career at several international research companies in leading management positions since 1997. Due to his over 15 years of experience in international market research, he is currently mainly consulting international companies in the area of multicountry research and implementation of results as a basis for strategic marketing decisions.

Rt. Hon. Mike Moore

Mike Moore is a past Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). 

He is well-known internationally as an articulate proponent of the advantages of a free and fair global trading system.  Mr. Moore is widely credited with restoring confidence in the system, following the setback of the third WTO Ministerial Conference held in Seattle in 1999, by launching the Doha Development Round.  His period in office saw the successful accession to the WTO of China and Chinese Taipei along with Estonia, Jordan, Georgia, Albania, Oman, Croatia, Lithuania, and Moldova, bringing the majority of the world’s population within the rules-based trading system.  He also initiated significant changes to the way the WTO operates and important organisational changes within the Secretariat by introducing a range of strategic management techniques.

John Rimmer

John Rimmer is editor of Duty-Free News International, the duty-free and travel-retail industry's leading trade title since its establishment in 1987. He joined publisher Raven Fox in March 2000 and was soon appointed to cover the worldwide duty-free liquor market for DFNI. In 2003 he was named editor of DFNI sister magazine Travel Retailer International before taking over at DFNI a year later. He has moderated a number of industry events around the world and travels extensively in his role as one of the industry's leading commentators.

 

Susy Roberts

As director of Hunter Roberts Susy has significant experience in developing people in the areas of leadership development and customer service.

Susy became a director of Luxury Attitude two years ago enabling Hunter Roberts to specialise in leadership and customer service in the luxury market.

 

Rashmi Varma

Rashmi Varma heads ACNielsen | Qualitative, the specialist Qualitative team in Bombay.

Rashmi has been practising qualitative research for the past 10 years and has extensive experience both in international as well as local-level projects in  Personal care, Healthcare, Foods, Automotive, Banking and Finance industries, to name a few.

Her clients include  Castrol-Bp, Kellogg's, ICICI Bank, Reliance, Franklin Templeton, Prudential ICICI, Mattel, Nissan, Polaris Software, Wyeth Ltd, HDFC bank, Bombay Dyeing, Novartis, Maersk-Sealand, Boots Piramal.

Rashmi holds a post graduate degree in Psychology.
