Inflight future: redefining the benefits

Camilla Taylor, Inflight Sales & Logistics Manager at Cathay Pacific Airways, discussed how the Cathay team has been pushing the boundaries on their inflight business concept. She explained how the airline aims to differentiate its inflight sales offering from other airlines by making it a greater part of the passenger experience. Ms Taylor also developed on Cathay’s strategies for targeting first and business class passengers and how the airline is increasingly using the internet both for marketing the inflight offer and pre-ordering.

Hamish Taylor of “The Skills Exchange” provided a fourth dimensional perspective on the inflight duty free business, both analysing and redefining some of the challenges which airlines and inflight operators face and offering workable solutions to these challenges by drawing on comparisons from parallel industries.
Taylor enabled delegates to look at their business from a completely fresh dimension and enhance the benefits of inflight duty free in the eyes of the consumer.
