Fresh insight on non-shoppers and the East Asian cruise market

06/10/2017. “To shop or not to shop,” was the dilemma presented by TFWA’s Michele Miranda as she opened the TFWA Research Workshop yesterday evening. Addressing the issue of how to turn the non-shopper into the purchaser, Garry Stasiulevicuis, president of Counter Intelligence Retail, explained that over half (57%) of travellers don’t enter a duty free store. 05/10/2017. TFWA’s John Rimmer opened this morning’s Inflight Focus Workshop with data that showed that global inflight sales have been under pressure in recent years. In 2016, they stood at US$2.5 billion, a 6.6% decline on the previous year, and a similar figure to 2009, according to Generation Research. Read more
