2011 Leisure activities

The leisure programme at TFWA World Exhibition 2011 offers you the chance to start the week in a relaxed and informal manner, with a choice of several activities to suit a wide range of interests. This year the traditional agenda of sporting activities is complemented by a new range of cultural experiences.

All leisure activities are open only to TFWA World Exhibition badge holders and, due to limited places, are available on a first come, first served basis.

Golf Tournament

The annual Gebr Heinemann / Estée Lauder Travel Value Golf Tournament, traditionally played at one of the region's finest courses - and with proceeds donated to a worthy cause - is always a popular event.

Ile St Marguerite

Boat departs from Quai Laubeuf at 08.30

The beautiful island of St Marguerite provided the setting for this activity, with a choice of trails to suit joggers of all abilities, and experienced guides on hand to show the way. Walkers had the chance to try their hand at archery amid the island’s pine and eucalyptus forests.

Perfume Masterclass

Coach departs from Majestic Hotel at 09.00

The historic town of Grasse, the centre of the global perfume industry, was the perfect place for delegates to learn the art of the perfumer. Participants also had the rare chance to compose their own individual eau de toilette.

Wine Tasting

L’Abbaye de Lerins, Ile St Honorat
Boat departs from Quai Lauboeuf at 10.00

The monks of the Lerins Abbey guideded delegates through a tasting of their internationally acclaimed red and white wines, followed by a restaurant lunch at La Tonnelle before catching the boat back to Cannes.
