"Collaboration and the consumer": Strategies for success in Asia Pacific

Moderated by Michael Barrett, Conference & Research Manager, TFWA

Keeping up to speed with the issues which affect business is constantly a challenge. This year the TFWA Asia Pacific and GATE ONE2ONE conference addressed a wide variety of issues both on luxury and premium brands in travel retail and on commercial revenue streams for airports, airlines, cruise and ferry lines. Following a detailed overview of the industry in Asia today by TFWA President, Erik Juul-Mortensen, the morning plenary session provided an intriguing insight into successful branding in Asia, focusing on the Asian consumer, followed by a unique perspective on untapped revenue opportunities for airports and their commercial partners. A special focus on Beijing was also featured among the morning highlights.

Throughout the rest of the day, an inspiring professional workshop programme challenged stakeholders with innovative ideas providing further “strategies for success in Asia Pacific”.
