TFWA Care

“Good things only happen if we make them happen”

In the past few years TFWA has extended the scope of the ethical principles on which it was founded to support numerous charity projects and worthy causes. This support has been formalised with the creation of TFWA CARE.

The mission of TFWA CARE is to distribute financial resources to humanitarian organisations or charities which benefit people - especially women and children - through tangible projects and which enable recipients to help themselves to improve their lives.

TFWA CARE aims to select a small number of causes that meet these criteria and have a special attachment to TFWA and/or any of its members. In 2012, TFWA CARE donated a total of €252 000 to nine different projects across the world. The activity report for each project can be viewed in the respective association’s page in the Members Only area of the website. At its December 2012 meeting, the TFWA Management Committee voted to grant a further
€364 000 for a total of ten projects to be carried out during 2013.

TFWA members can learn more about TFWA CARE and how to nominate charitable projects for consideration on the dedicated TFWA CARE page in the Members Only area.
