Speakers at the 2013 Conference included Lord Sebastian Coe, multiple Olympic gold medallist and moving force behind the highly successful London 2012 Olympics; Willie Walsh, who oversaw British Airways’ merger with Iberia to form International Airlines Group which he now heads; John Gerzema, writer and consultant with a special interest in how social change affects business; and TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen whose state-of-the-industry address opened the Conference. At two workshops, specialists examined the inflight sector plus Indonesia and Turkey from the CIVETS group of markets, forecast to lead the next wave of economic growth.
