While we have often focused on specific markets in past Asia Pacific workshops, this year we had a special focus on the different profiles of Asia Pacific consumers of premium and luxury goods across five major markets. Retail specialist and co-author of the book "The cult of the luxury brand" Paul Husband traced back the history of the retail revolution in Asia and the evolution of the premium and luxury goods sector, focussing on the aspirations of consumers in Asia’s top five markets. The session also looked at the opportunities for the duty free and travel retail sector across the Asia Pacific region today, reviewing key developments over the past twelve months and looking ahead to future investments.
