A packed petanque field witnessed a thrilling final that was drawn to a close by the toss of a coin after a morning of good friendly rivalry.
The leisurely pace of petanque has made it a popular leisure option on the Sunday of TFWA World Exhibition, and this year participants were treated to an evenly matched final that saw the lead switch sides frequently with neither team ever able to gain a conclusive advantage. Eventually the umpire resorted to fate to determine the winner; Ferrero Travel area sales manager Middle East, Africa and India Fabrice Dessart, Tintamar B2B executive Fabien Picon and Villiger export sales director Chris Pfister emerged victorious after the coin toss.
