Quality networking time at Tanjong Golf Course

Leisure activities, Focus
One of Asia Pacific’s best golf courses hosted 64 players in the Golf Tournament, organised in partnership with Interparfums.
The early morning heat of Singapore did little to discourage TFWA’s committed band of golfers as they headed for the Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, an oasis of lush greenery and colonial charm just beyond the bustle of downtown Singapore.

Nourished by an early breakfast at the clubhouse, the competitors gradually left to tee off in their teams of four. With about three hours together on the golf course, the competition offered players a rare opportunity to spend quality time with colleagues, clients and partners, as well as honing their golf skills and relaxing before a busy week of business.

Interparfums Asia Pacific managing director Renaud Boisson said: "It was great to see so many people playing in this year’s tournament. As always the course was in fantastic condition, thanks to the Sentosa Golf Club. The organisation was also excellent, and I would like to thank TFWA for organising this great tournament, which we are delighted to support."

On return to the clubhouse, players were greeted with a buffet lunch and a chance to share their experiences on the course with other teams. And the Interparfums team presented a series of prizes for the winning players. Beam Global’s Luke Maga took the overall prize, taking home a set of Callaway clubs and a cart bag, while runner up Mazelan bin Abu Hashim from Haji Ismail was presented with a Burberry Sport Watch and second runner up Paul Sherlock from Planet Wine received a Paul Smith scarf. Nancy Miller won the Nearest to the Pin prize, awarded with a Burberry watch, while the Longest Drive challenge was won by Heinemann Asia Pacific’s Patricia Poon and Vincent Choo from Toms Confectionery, who each received a set of Callaway drivers and woods.
