Sunil Tuli

Conference, Morning session
Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) president Sunil Tuli underlined the potential of the Asia Pacific duty free market, and some of the regulatory challenges it will face.
Tuli discussed the strong recovery that Asia Pacific has made, outpacing that of other regions, and highlighted some of the key infrastructure developments that are set to accelerate the industry’s growth in Asia. However, in a prelude to the TFWA-APTRA working lunch, he also drew the audience’s attention to some looming regulatory threats, including the threat of a global ban on duty free tobacco sales, and urged delegates to support APTRA in its lobbying efforts on these issues.
