Dr Dai Bin is President of China Tourism Academy, the sole research division of the China National Tourism Administration. He also serves as editor of China Tourist Hotels and Tourism Tribune, and expert at the Tourism Emergency Affairs Office of State Council and a member of China’s National Tourist Hotel Star-rating Commission. He won the Beijing Outstanding Teacher Award and National Outstanding Teacher Award in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
Dr Dai’s work focuses on the study of China’s tourism economy and tourism business management. He has published over 300 research papers, 30 monographs and translations, and initiated more than 70 research projects funded by government departments and commercial organisations, including China Tourism Observatory, China Tourist Satisfaction Index and China Outbound Travel Development, and also delivered over 600 keynote speeches related to tourism development at home and abroad.
