Historically, the travel retail industry’s growth has mirrored air passenger traffic. As traffic increased, so did the industry’s sales. But, as a result of new challenges and evolving consumer behaviours, that pattern has been broken in the post-COVID recover era.
This latest addition to the TFWA Insight series of market reports is entitled Travel retail‘s next chapter--innovating beyond technology key to regaining market momentum, and has been compiled by the global consultancy Kearney. In producing the report Kearney surveyed 3,700 travellers across 10 countries, and also conducted in-depth interviews with over 50 senior executives from global airports, travel retailers, brands, and technology companies.
The resulting report contains a wealth of insights into how technology and collaboration among stakeholders, underpinned by a deep understanding of the modern traveller will shape the future of travel retail.
The Kearney report is available for TFWA members to download free of charge, as part of their membership package. Click on the link below to access your copy.
