TFWA i.lab comes back with a bang

What better way to reflect the central role that innovative or smart solutions are playing in travel retail’s rebound from Covid-19 than to place TFWA i.lab right in the heart of the Palais des Festivals, the iconic venue for TFWA World Exhibition & Conference? As the industry’s leading forum for customer and in-store engagement, sustainability and ESG, TFWA i.lab used an online format last year, but with passenger traffic returning strongly in many regions and business ramping up, a physical presence in the Palais became essential for 2022. Sited within the Red Village on Level -1, TFWA i.lab takes its rightful place on the Exhibition show floor.

The area will be organised into three spaces: a classic exhibition zone with individual stands, a less formal start-up space shared by exhibitors, and a lounge where participants can pitch their ideas from an intimate stage with a screen and network with visitors. To underline TFWA i.lab’s status as part of the Exhibition, the two will have common opening times during this year’s global summit from midday on Monday through to 17:00 on Thursday. The TFWA Innovation in Action Workshop also makes a welcome return on Wednesday, when a line-up of speakers will address topics such as digital transformation, data-based services and sustainability in travel retail.

Exhibitor interest in TFWA i.lab has been strong and visitors will see a blend of returning companies and new names active in disciplines like digital traveller engagement, in-store solutions, data analytics, sustainable and social initiatives and services for travellers. TFWA’s ONE2ONE meeting service includes TFWA i.lab within its remit and can arrange introductory encounters for eligible companies.
