Travel Responsibly To Keep The World Open
As part of the Heineken® #SocialiseResponsibly global platform, HEINEKEN Global Duty Free is using its key retail channels of cruise, ferries and inflight to remind and encourage consumers to follow government health guidance, travel responsibly and minimise transmission of Coronavirus as a key step in keeping the world open - the ultimate key to exploring new places and revisiting old favourites.
Cruise partners have received free product donations of Heineken and Heineken 0.0, with additional support for crew education and entertainment, supply of POS, menus and signage to promote social distancing, with stock management solutions and portfolios tailored to regional insights, helping cruiselines maximise their revenue opportunities.
Meanwhile support for airlines is led by 'The greatest stories can be read in your passport’ - a European summer campaign that reflects the pent-up desire amongst consumers to travel.
With geo-targeting at nine key airports - Alicante, Amsterdam Schiphol, Barcelona, Dublin, London Stansted, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Paris Charles De Gaulle and Paris Orly - engagement reached over 800,000 travellers*, when they were close to boarding and ready to enjoy their inflight experience, targeting their consideration of what beverage to order onboard. Heineken® and zero alcohol Heineken® 0.0 both featured in the campaign designed to encourage consumer choice. This is strategic initiative supports conversion opportunities for airline partners as they work to maximise onboard ancillary revenues, as a key strand to business recovery.
During the TFWA World Conference and Exhibition, HEINEKEN will be introducing the latest innovations to join its portfolio.
Pure Pirana hard seltzer is crafted with carbonated purified water and a dash of natural flavourings, together with 4.5% alcohol. The fruity-but-not-sweet alcoholic alternative will be available in cruise and inflight in two refreshing flavours: Lemon Lime and Red Berries.
Pure Piraña is vegan friendly and gluten free, with no added sugar or sweeteners. It is well suited for the modern generation of consumers who are increasingly conscious of their consumption habits and lifestyle choices.
Paulaner is a wheat beer from Munich, brewed since 1634. It is Oktoberfest’s best-selling beer and is now available through HEINEKEN’S global duty free team in cruise and other channels.
