Business at OECD Executive Board formally approves the nomination of Tax Free World Association (TFWA) as a Business at OECD (BIAC) Associate Expert Group.
25 April 2023 – The Tax Free World Association (TFWA), a founding member of the Duty Free: Trusted Transparent Secure campaign, has joined the Business at OECD (BIAC) Associate Expert Group.
Business at OECD represents the leading business federations in OECD countries and over 7 million private businesses across sectors and of all sizes. The partnership presents a significant opportunity for TFWA and the DFTTS campaign to contribute to the development of policy and best practice in the ongoing fight against illicit trade, counterfeiting and intellectual property theft, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with policymakers and industry experts worldwide.
TFWA's approval to BIAC will provide an opportunity to participate in a range of policy groups that have been mandated to closely collaborate with various OECD Committees and policy bodies. On behalf of the DFTTS campaign, TFWA will look to take part in the OECD Anti-Illicit Trade Expert Group (AITEG) to provide evidence-based and structured input to OECD activities on illicit trade and contribute on related OECD policy drafts, and actively participate in meetings of the OECD Task Force on Countering Illicit Trade (TFCIT).
