A sharp rise in the region’s Q4 passenger traffic and the new Hosted Guest Programme point to a busy TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (12-16 May in Singapore).

Passenger uplift

Recent updates show traveller numbers rising fast in Asia Pacific. The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines reports a near-tripling of international passengers from January to October versus 2022, while Hong Kong International Airport enjoyed a fourfold passenger uplift for October compared to the same month last year. Mumbai Airport went further still, recording November passengers 9% above their pre-pandemic level. After a more gradual return to international travel than in other regions, Asia Pacific travellers seem to be making up for lost time.
