TFWA i.lab debuts in Asia

Launched several years ago as a forum for fresh thinking and new digital tools targeting duty free and travel retail, TFWA i.lab evolved to a hybrid format with a successful physical return to Cannes and online via TFWA 365 in 2022. This year sees the tech showcase, which now includes sustainability in its remit, expand beyond its Cannes birthplace to Singapore for a first appearance in the Asia Pacific region, home to some of the industry’s most exciting digital activations. TFWA i.lab Asia will run alongside TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) from 7 to 11 May.

The event is organised in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and will share the Exhibition’s opening hours (09:00 to 18:00 daily on 9 & 10 May, closing at 17:00 on 11 May). Echoing Cannes with a location at the heart of the venue, TFWA i.lab Asia will occupy a dedicated space on Level 1 in the MBS. Around 15 companies are expected to participate, offering innovative solutions in the fields of digital and in-store customer engagement, sustainability, data and services for travellers. Visiting TFWA i.lab Asia will enable delegates to catch up with the latest developments in the areas of interest and technologies that resonate with today’s passengers, especially Gen Z.

Lending an authentically Asian flavour to this year’s showcase, five of the businesses featured will be start-ups incubated in Singapore by the STB itself. All the companies taking part in TFWA i.lab Asia will have an online presence on TFWA 365. Simply log into the platform, head to the Discovery section and click on the TFWA i.lab heading for a preview of what each company offers. You’ll find contact details and the chance to leave your business card. TFWA’s ONE2ONE meeting service can also arrange introductory encounters with the participants.
