Familiar to DF&TR professionals via the TFWA 365 platform or TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, TFWA i.lab is making its first appearance in Asia. The industry forum for fresh thinking will occupy a dedicated space on Level 1 of the MBS during TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (7-11 May). TFWA i.lab Asia is joining forces with the Singapore Tourism Board and fellow sponsor i.Click, a leading enterprise and marketing cloud platform in China, to offer the latest technology solutions for duty free and travel retail. Delegates can expect innovation with an Asian flavour, many of the 15 exhibitors being based in the region. Indeed, several participants are start-ups under the STB’s Singapore Tourism Accelerator programme.
Eye-catching names among the companies taking part in TFWA i.lab Asia include Baidu International (affiliate of the Chinese internet giant), Qunar (travel search engine and online travel platform) and Woohoo, an AI Assistant speaker for the hospitality and travel industry. Smart logistics specialist Cainiao, part of Alibaba, will also be there. Its General Manager in Hainan, Echo Zhu, sees participation “as a window for Cainiao and Alibaba's cutting-edge technologies as well as our ESG initiatives directly to our targeted audience like global brands and retailers, looking to enter the Chinese market." Another participant, Intelligent Tracking Systems, has successfully exhibited at TFWA i.lab in Cannes. ITS Managing Director Morten Pankoke is confident that being part of TFWA i.lab Asia will enable him to “kick off the introduction of our digital personal assistant to airports, retailers and advertisers from the Asia Pacific region”.
