In the last few years, brands and retailers have shown growing enthusiasm for expertise that could help meet the changing expectations of travellers today. TFWA i.lab’s more flexible forum format aims to encourage the flow of ideas between businesses in duty free and travel retail and innovators from outside the channel.
Covering areas like mobile and digital technology, data analytics, e-commerce, traveller research, sustainability and corporate citizenship, TFWA i.lab invites industry players to explore new ways of doing business while showing those unfamiliar with travel retail the opportunities it offers.
A new tagline, ‘innovation in action’, underlines the practical, business-ready nature of the ideas to be featured by TFWA i.lab and their relevance to travel retail. With younger travellers increasingly influential, the ability to engage and elevate the retail experience is especially important.
The first outing for the new-look TFWA i.lab will be in Cannes during TFWA World Exhibition & Conference (28 September - 2 October), where some of the innovators offering new ways to engage shoppers will be present to meet brands, retailers and other stakeholders.
