TFWA World Exhibition & Conference
TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2019
As delegates gathered in Cannes for duty free and travel retail’s global summit, a choice of activities on the Sunday before the official opening offered an opportunity to socialise and have fun ahead of the busy week. Rooftop yoga, sailing and e-biking were just some of the possibilities. Coaches took participants to and from each activity.

Golf TournamentSunday 29 September
Royal Mougins Golf Club, Mougins

After a successful debut in 2018, The Royal Mougins again played host to the TFWA Golf Tournament. The 18-hole, par 71 course is over 6,000 metres long, with challenges for players of all abilities. A rich haul of prizes awaited the most successful (or luckiest), but it was the taking part that mattered most.

Pétanque

PétanqueSunday 29 September
Place de l'Etang, Cannes

Players sampled some pure Provençal culture to the gentle click of the boules, a glass of pastis in hand. The pace seemed relaxed but the competition was often intense in this traditional sport where cunning and strategy play their part. Plentiful prizes and an appetizing lunch rounded off the morning’s play.

Regatta

RegattaSunday 29 September
Port Canto, Cannes

Four crews joined professional skippers aboard their yachts for some competitive sailing in the Bay of Cannes. Some took their turn at the helm, others helped with the sails or simply cooled their toes in the water. A waterborne picnic and post-race swim added to the enjoyment.
