TFWA Renews Partnership with the City of Cannes for TFWA World Exhibition & Conference

TFWA announces today that it has renewed its partnership with the City of Cannes, securing the French city as the host destination for the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.

The agreement was formally signed by TFWA President Sarah Branquinho and SEMEC President Nicolas Gorjux in Cannes on Monday 28 September, reaffirming the long- standing relationship between TFWA and the City of Cannes. The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference has been held in Cannes for more than four decades, bringing together leading brands, retailers, transport operators and other industry stakeholders from across the global duty free and travel retail community. 

The renewal provides continuity for TFWA’s flagship annual event, which will return to the Palais des Festivals in autumn 2027. 

Speaking about the renewed partnership, TFWA President Sarah Branquinho said: 

“TFWA is delighted to announce the extension of its partnership agreement with SEMEC, confirming Cannes as the host city for TFWA World Exhibition & Conference from 2027 for at least three further years. 

The strong spirit of partnership we share with the city, Le Palais des Festivals and our local partners has been instrumental to the continued success of our flagship event. Over the years, Cannes has become much more than a destination: for one week each year, it is the global meeting place and home of the duty free and travel retail industry.” 
 

Nicolas Gorjux, President of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes, said: 

“For more than forty years, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes has supported TFWA and its global gathering. This longstanding relationship reflects a shared expertise: that of Cannes and the Palais in welcoming major international industries and supporting their development.
