Altemir Linhares de Melo is a tax auditor and fiscal policy expert at the Federal Revenue of Brazil where he is currently serving as the Regional Superintendent in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Previously, Altemir was a special advisor to the Secretary of the Federal Revenue and General Coordinator of Inspection.

Altemir earned his specialization in tax policy and technique from the Inter-American Tax Administration Center (CIAT). He is currently working on his Master's degree in Administration at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Altemir has a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from PUC/RS and economics from the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC).
