Christina Lu is the Chief Marketing Officer of Global Fun for Alibaba Group. Her primary focus is to bring strategy, inspiration, innovation, campaign expertise and thought leadership, with the goal to shape how the world experiences Alibaba’s Global Fun brand and its entire ecosystem including their overseas merchants, partners, advertisers, the media and Chinese outbound tourists.
Christina joined Alibaba Group in 2016 to lead a team that founded Uni Marketing, a data-powered operating system that digitizes end-to-end marketing. Christina has been instrumental in transforming Alibaba into one of the world’s largest e-commerce sites as well as a strategic brand-building platform for brands all over the world.
Prior to joining Alibaba, Christina spent 8 years at Johnson & Johnson in China and its headquarters in the US, where she was the Vice President of Marketing for China. She managed a diverse portfolio of baby, skincare and oral care products. Before Johnson & Johnson, Christina worked at Unilever where she held various leadership roles within the group’s global innovation team.
Christina has received numerous awards from the marketing industry. Last year she was honored by the magazine Campaign the “A List in 2018” for disruptive innovation in China. In 2015 she was named one of Ad Age’s “Women to Watch”, and was also listed as one of the “100 Influential Marketing Leaders” by The Internationalist.
