Dr Tina Zhou is the CEO and co-founder of Yaok Group a comprehensive service provider in China’s luxury industry. Tina also serves as principal of Yaok Training and Dean of Yaok Institute, responsible for researching the Chinese luxury market and providing strategic consultation to internationally renowned luxury groups and Chinese enterprises.
Tina has been appointed Vice President of China General Chamber of Commerce and as Executive Chairman of China Luxury Professional Committee. Her work has won an award from the 5th Shanghai Industry and Business Leaders. She also serves as an advisor to China’s Ministries of Finance and Commerce and the General Administration of Customs, Beijing Commerce Commission, and Shanghai Commerce Commission.
From 2009 to 2011 Tina was based in France as visiting scholar at the International University of Monaco and the EDHEC Business School. She has also served as Executive Director of the Luxury Research Center at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).
Tina is the editor of China‘s first set of college textbooks on luxury management, chief researcher of China’s first professional luxury market research monographs “China Luxury Report”. She is a regular commentator on the Chinese luxury market and a frequent contributor to CCTV. She has predicted a number of key trends that have shaped the market in recent years, including the shift in importance from brand to product, the growth of high-end niche brands and the rise of third-party luxury e-commerce platforms. Her work has informed articles in publications including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, China Daily and several other Chinese mainstream media.
