Over two years have passed since the global duty free & travel retail industry last convened in Cannes. During that time, the world has suffered its most serious crisis since the Second World War, and its effects are far from over. Our industry, dependent as it is on the free movement of people around the world, has been among the hardest hit by the covid-19 pandemic. The recovery of travel, while slow, is under way, but its pace varies significantly by region.
Against this most challenging backdrop, the TFWA World Conference offered a range of views on the recovery of international travel and related industries. As ever, the Conference welcomed a number of expert speakers with insights from various perspectives, creating a number of talking points as exhibition week began.
