Jason Cao has 26 years of experience in the duty free and travel retail industry. Before creating Amberich International (HK) Ltd, he held executive positions at British American Tobacco, Imperial Tobacco and Sunrise Duty Free Group. During the 12 years he spent with Sunrise Duty Free Group, Jason was responsible for the merchandising and procurement of perfume and cosmetics for Sunrise Shanghai Airport and Sunrise Beijing Airport. Jason’s portfolio covered merchandising and procurement, brand marketing, procurement system research and development, retail shop design, and staff recruitment and training.

In 2013, Jason founded Amberich International (HK) Ltd. The company’s expertise is in management consulting, project operation, retail space design, brand agency, recruitment, and training in the duty free and travel retail industry. Jason also started the WeChat public account DutyFreeExpert (DFE), which now has over 21k loyal industry followers. It is the most influential social media account covering the latest trends and innovation in China’s duty-free and travel retail market.
