Since 2011 Dr Tina Zhou has served as Dean of the Fortune Character Institute, China’s leading luxury lifestyle research and consulting group. In this role she oversees the publication of the China Luxury Report, examining the changing attitudes of elite Chinese consumers with regard to luxury brands, and advises China’s Ministries of Finance and Commerce and the General Administration of Customs.
From 2009 to 2011 Tina was based in France as visiting scholar at the International University of Monaco and the EDHEC Business School. She has also served as Executive Director of the Luxury Research Center at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).
Tina is a regular commentator on the Chinese luxury goods market and a frequent contributor to CCTV. She has predicted a number of key trends that have shaped the market in recent years, including the shift in importance from brand to product, the growth of high-end niche brands and the rise of third-party luxury e-commerce platforms. She has overseen the publication of five editions of the China Luxury Report along with over 40 other reports on the luxury industry, and her work has informed articles in publications including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, China Daily and several other Chinese mainstream media.
