Sunil Tuli, an Indian-born citizen of Singapore, is currently the Group CEO of Hong Kong-based King Power Group, looking after the company’s duty free & travel retail activities.
In 1984, Sunil joined India Tourism Development Corporation as General Manager, in charge of the duty free shops at Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, Madras and Trivandrum airports.
In 1990 he was appointed by Swiss duty free group Weitnauer (now Dufry), to run its joint venture in Singapore, Scotts Weitnauer. As General Manager, Sunil was also responsible for Travellers Duty Free and Sincere Watch Duty Free.
In 1995, he was made Managing Director of Weitnauer Singapore, overseeing the expansion of the company in Asia, and was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific and The Middle East before leaving in 2002.
In addition to his role as Group CEO at King Power Group (HK), Sunil is also on the board of directors for King Power Singapore, Chairman of Agatha SA (France), Aotea Holdings (New Zealand), Yam Seng Pte Ltd Singapore, King Power Traveller (Hong Kong), King Power Australia, Bordeaux wine producer Chateau Bernadotte, Hookedge (UK), CNPay, and most recently Dragon Spirits Limited, the makers of Royal Dragon Vodka.
Sunil is President of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA). APTRA has over 100 members across the region, including suppliers, retailers, airlines, airports and regional associations.
