Nicolas Girotto is Chief Commercial Officer at Avolta, a global leader in travel retail an F&B. In his role, he is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s global commercial strategy across multiple categories and channels, with a focus on driving sustainable growth, enhancing customer experience, and strengthening partnerships with leading international brands. Operating in a highly complex concession-based environment, he plays a key role in advancing Avolta’s transformation agenda and reinforcing its position at the forefront of the travel retail industry.

Nicolas brings over 25 years of international experience spanning retail, luxury, and travel retail, with a strong track record in business transformation, brand repositioning, and operational performance. He is recognized for his ability to combine strategic vision with disciplined execution, as well as for his deep understanding of both financial and commercial drivers in global consumer businesses.

Prior to joining Avolta, Nicolas served as Chief Executive Officer of Bally from 2019 to 2024. During his tenure, he led a comprehensive transformation of the brand, redefining its creative direction, elevating its product and customer experience, and strengthening its global relevance in a highly competitive luxury landscape. He successfully navigated the company through a period marked by significant industry disruption, including the COVID- 19 pandemic, while laying the foundations for long-term value creation. He previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Bally, where he was instrumental in improving operational efficiency, restructuring key functions, and enhancing overall business performance.

In addition to his executive roles, Nicolas has held governance positions, including serving as Chairman of Tally Weijl, where he contributed to steering the company through a critical phase of its development and digital transformation, and as an independent board member of Autogrill during its strategic combination with Dufry, gaining direct exposure to large-scale industry consolidation and governance dynamics.

Earlier in his career, Nicolas was Group Chief Financial Officer of The Nuance Group, a leading travel retail operator, where he played a central role in the company’s integration into Dufry. He also held senior leadership positions at GrandVision and Conbipel, aining extensive experience in multi-market retail operations and financial management.

Nicolas holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV.
