Azran Osman Rani is an author, venture capitalist, tech entrepreneur and former CEO of AirAsia X and iflix. Azran builds disruptive new businesses that challenge the status quo. His current venture Naluri, is a digital health therapeutics startup looking to make chronic disease and mental health care more accessible and affordable. 

Apart from his business ventures, Azran enjoys participating in dialogues onstage, sharing real-life experiences in revolutionizing traditional ‘old economy’ industries and developing ‘new economy’ media and tech businesses; and shows that breakthrough innovation need not be high tech or complex. 

Previously, Azran pioneered the long-haul, low-cost airline model as the founding CEO of AirAsia X. He led the growth from start-up to one billion USD in revenue, 2,500 employees, and a public-listing in six years, breaking many low-cost airline industry conventions and introducing innovations. Azran was also part of the start-up team at iflix, an internet television service now operates across twenty countries in Asia. 

Azran held roles as management consultant at McKinsey & Company and Booz Allen & Hamilton. He is a Stanford University alumnus. Azran loves adventure travel and is an ironman triathlete.
